What is chocolate Avocado Pudding made of?
It is made of ripe avocados, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, sugar alternative sweetener and coconut milk.
How Many Carbs in Avocado Chocolate Pudding?
I am going to say this before you get to the recipe card, DO NOT freak out about the carb count! At first glance it might scare you seeing that there are 17g carbs per serving, but NET CARBS are just 6g carbs per serving. There is a ton of fiber in avocados and a serving size is 1/2 a cup. You can easily make a serving size smaller and do 1/4 cup instead.
How to Serve Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding
Easy dessert. Top this easy low carb pudding with some sugar free whipped cream and you have an amazing creamy chocolaty dessert that you do not have to feel bad about eating!
Make it a parfait. Put a layer of chocolate pudding, then a layer of whipped cream and continue the pattern and you have an easy sugar free parfait.
Top with fruit. If you are wanting to stick with a low carb fruit go with strawberries, blackberries, raspberries or blueberries. If you not strict on your carb counts then add some sliced banana and whipped cream and you have an amazing sweet dessert!
Add a scoop of peanut butter. You can turn this into a chocolate peanut butter pudding by adding a spoonful of peanut butter before you mix everything together.
Tips for Making Avocado Chocolate Pudding
Use ripe avocados. You want to make sure your avocado is ripe and fresh. You want them to be soft but not overly ripe.
Use a good blender. I have a ninja blender and love it. Having a good blender will make sure everything blends well.
Use a quality cocoa powder. It is important to use a good quality cocoa powder so you have a good flavor. A low quality cocoa powder will result in a bitter tasting pudding.
You can use a different sweetener. I like using swerve but you can use any granulated sugar alternative.
Can I use Almond Milk?
You can use almond milk in place of the coconut milk.
Can you taste the Avocado?
No, the great thing about this recipe is that it tastes like a sweet dessert and creamy like pudding but you do not taste the avocado in it.
How to Store
Store this keto pudding in the fridge, you need to chill it for one hour before enjoying however it is best served the day you make it since avocados will brown and oxidize when they are stored.
