You can use your favorite sauce, or try out one of the low carb marinara sauce or sugar free tomato sauces that we enjoy using when making Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan. How to Bake Keto Chicken Parm
If you don’t have an air fryer you can still make this easy low carb chicken parm. Follow all of the steps until the cooking in the air fryer. Place the keto chicken parm in a baking dish and bake it in the oven at 400ºF for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove from the oven and then top the chicken it with the low carb marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Ingredients
- 3 4 ounce chicken breasts or 1 pound of chicken breasts cut into 3 pieces
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup pork rinds, crushed (If you are not low carb you can use breadcrumbs instead of pork rinds)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon heavy cream
- 1 cup no sugar added marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
Preheat air fryer to 370ºF.
In a medium shallow container like a pie plate, combine the parmesan cheese, pork rinds, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In another medium shallow container whisk together the eggs and heavy cream.
Dip the chicken breast into the egg mixture then into the pork rind mixture, making sure both sides are evenly coated. Repeat this with each chicken breast.
Place the chicken into the air fryer for 10 minutes.
Flip the chicken after ten minutes and top with the sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Cook for an additional 6-8 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160ºF. When the Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan is done cooking serve with desired sides.
