Is Salisbury Steak Keto?
Traditional Salisbury steak is not keto, there are bread crumbs in the hamburger patties and flour in the gravy.
We changed things up and used almond flour instead of bread crumbs for the hamburger patties and xanthan gum for the flour to make this comfort food perfect for anyone who is eating low carb. Best part, the non low carbers in my house devoured it with no questions asked.
What Sides to Serve
The best way to enjoy low carb salisbury steak is with some buttery mashed cauliflower, or with cauliflower risotto (like in the photos) then pour some of the mushroom gravy on top and oh yum! But if you are looking for other side dish recipes to go with salisbury steak there are plenty to pick from!
