Meatloaf is a popular comfort food for many, it is easy to make, inexpensive and tastes great. We love our keto meatloaf but wanted to take this low carb comfort food up a notch and created the perfect low carb bacon wrapped meatloaf. My husband who is not normally a fan of meatloaf loves it when I make either of these keto meatloaf recipes.

Meatloaf is keto friendly as long as you use keto friendly ingredients, replacing traditional bread crumbs with parmesan cheese and almond flour like in this low carb meatloaf makes it perfectly keto friendly. This meatloaf also uses ketchup, so you will want to make sure you use a sugar free ketchup.
Can I use coconut flour in this recipe?
We use almond flour because we prefer it over coconut flour. However if you do not like using almond flour and prefer coconut flour you can use it. The proper ratio is 1/4 cup of coconut flour for 1 cup of almond flour. This recipe uses 1/2 cup almond flour so you will want to use 1/8 cup coconut flour.
What to Serve with Meatloaf
Before going low carb whenever I made meatloaf my go to sides were mashed potatoes, baked mac and cheese and steamed broccoli with butter. Quite easy to keep the same comfort food feel going now, I just make mashed cauliflower and cauliflower mac and cheese and the broccoli and everyone is still happy.
There are lots of other side dishes that go well with keto meatloaf, sometimes I change things up and make keto green bean casserole, low carb stuffed mushrooms, Keto Caesar salad or Lemon Roasted asparagus.

- 1 teaspoon pepper

- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 10 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup ketchup
How to make Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf
Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
In a small bowl combine the almond flour, cheese, and Italian seasoning together.
In a large bowl combine the beef, onion, green pepper, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, salt, and almond flour mixture. Mix until well combined.
Line a sheet pan with foil. place the meat on the sheet pan and form the mixture into a loaf shape. Brush the ketchup over the meat.
Wrap the bacon around the loaf tucking the ends underneath.
Bake for 45-55 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 160ºF.
