However eating boring eggs all the time will get super boring and to be honest as much as I love eggs I do not want to eat them over and over and have boring food. What to Serve with Omelets
Omelets are great for breakfast and breakfast for dinner, along with brunch. I like to serve them with cauliflower hash browns and some low carb fruit as my sides. Add in some keto coffee, like Low carb Iced Caramel Macchiato, keto dalgona coffee or bullet coffee and you have a complete breakfast that is filling and delicious!
Tips for Making Rolled Omelets
Be sure to grease the skillet well. I use non stick cooking spray, but you can also use butter or your favorite cooking oil all of which will work. But you want the egg to cook but not stick to the bottom of the pan. Once it is cooked you will be rolling it up.
Use a fork to roll the omelet in the pan. I use two forks to help me roll the omelet so it’s not too hot on my fingers.
Ham and Cheese rolled omelet ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- salt, to taste
- nonstick pan spray
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices ham
How to make Ham and Cheese rolled omelet
In a medium bowl, stir together the eggs, onions, heavy cream, and salt.
Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. Spray the pan with a nonstick spray.
Add half of the egg mixture to the pan. Swirl the eggs around the pan making sure the whole pan is coated. Once the egg starts to set tilt the pan every now and then help cook the mixture to finish cooking the keto omelet.
Once most of the eggs have cooked sprinkle half of the cheese onto the eggs then lay out two slices of ham.
Roll the omelet from one side and roll to the other until it has been tightly rolled.
Once you have made the first one repeat the steps to make the second ham and cheese low carb omelet.
