The best part about a Philly cheesesteak is the filling, the meat, the cheese, the onions and the peppers all mixed together and full of flavor. Growing up in Pennsylvania and living many years in south Jersey the philly cheesesteak is a staple at just about every restaurant. This easy low carb casserole is the perfect low carb philly cheesesteak recipe!
This casserole recipe is one of my family’s favorite casserole recipes. It is one of the first low carb recipes I made when I switched to low carb and ket and I have made it so many times in the past 2 years. I am not really sure why I never took photos and shared it with you all but I am now and better late then never right?
I need things to be quick and easy right now, its crazy busy in our house and even when things are not crazy I like dinner time to be easy. Casseroles are my go to lately because they are so easy to make. Dump everything in to a pan and bake it in the oven. Dinner is done and easy peasy to make and the whole family is happy.

If you have never had a real philly cheesesteak then you are really missing out because they are amazing. This low carb Philly Cheesesteak Casserole takes all the amazing flavors of a philly cheesesteak and puts it in a low carb casserole that is super easy to make and so good you don’t even miss the bread!
This philly cheesesteak casserole starts with thin sliced rib eye (you can also use flank steak or sirloin steak thinly sliced) then sautéed onions and peppers and topped with a layer of provolone cheese that is perfectly melty.

Philly Cheesesteak Casserole Ingredients
- 1 pound ribeye steak, thinly slice
- 1 onion
- 2 bell peppers
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 6 slice provolone cheese
How to Make Philly Cheesesteak Casserole
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Wash and slice the bell pepper, and slice the onion.
In a skillet over medium heat cook your ribeye steak until it has browned. Place meat into a 9 x 9 casserole dish.
Add the onions and peppers to the pan and sauté them until the onions are translucent and tender.
Stir in the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper.
Continue cooking until the cream cheese has completely melted and creating a sauce. Stir the vegetable mixture into the meat.
Top the mixture with the provolone cheese.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the provolone cheese is melted.
