In a large Dutch oven, cook the beef, garlic, onions, and peppers over medium heat until all the beef has browned and the vegetables are softened.
Drain the cooked beef and vegetables onto a plate lined with paper towels.
Return the meat and vegetable mixture back into the pan and add in your water, tomato products, peppers, and seasonings to the pot.
Bring the chili up to a boil then cover and reduce to low, allow the chili to simmer for 2 to 4 hours.
